So I finally get some guys together to play a few tunes.

Though, I'd prefer to play with Matt, Tyler's availability is much better than his. So we've been playing with Tyler a lot. Also because he's called us inquiring about jamming.

As most of you know, most of my devs (all from a couple years ago) consist of song lyrics. Reason for it mostly because I just wrote a few songs out of boredom.

Mind you, I still really like most of the lyrics I wrote. The only problem was I had no one to play with. Well, let me rephrase that:

A. I had no drummer.
B. I couldn't really get a consistent schedule with the only bassist I knew.

Even when I got a decent schedule with Matt, the loss of a drummer made us feel like we were just wasting time. We tried Dylan at the drums, but I guess he just didn't have the confidence for it. In addition to that, Spencer just plain wasn't mature enough to just sit down and play the drums. I'm in no way taking a shot at him, since I wasn't playing guitar when I was that age either.

Anyway, Spencer finally starts sitting down and playing the drums (at damn near the same age I started guitar, go figure), so I had Matt over and tried for another round. It worked quite well. Then, I forget how it started, but Tyler starts jamming with us.

He's nowhere as good as Matt. In fact, Matt's better than him in every category except availability. However, we managed to do a few songs. Once again, Tyler started one of his incessant pleas. "We need to write our own song. We should write our own song. Lets do a metal song with power chords like Metallica." Yeah, that would be original.

Honestly, it should come as a surprise to noone he wants to do metal. But still, that is NOT the angle I want. The angle we had with Matt was perfect. 90's alternative, grunge, pop type stuff.

So, the only lyrics I decide to take are the scraps. Ain't that funny?

Anyway, if you read the lyrics in those scraps they aren't hard to figure out. It's about a kid who is taunted and teased too much in school. And finally loses it. Call it emo, I don't care.

For those of you who don't know, I have a HEAVY interest in school shootings. Not totally sure why. But this song is perfect for me in that respect.

I'm torn between three names. Barry, from the first kid to shoot up his school, Deric, combination of the names of the columbine kids, or ymerej, the backwards name of the song Pearl Jam did about the exact same topic who's video was banned.
